The student union of the Savonia University of Applied Sciences takes care of protecting the privacy of its members in accordance with the data protection regulation and Finnish legislation. Members’ information is always processed and stored carefully. The information is safe and we comply with the requirements of the data protection regulation and legislation.
The student union’s right to process its members’ personal data is based on the student union’s legal regulations (University of Applied Sciences Act 2014/932 § 41) obligations towards student union members and the Associations Act (503/1989, § 11) and the Personal Data Act (523/1999, § 8). All processing of personal data is based on the consent given by the member/data subject (Data Protection Regulation, Article 6, Section 1, Subsection a).
