Who This Applies To: You are a continuing your studies and were a member of the student union last academic year, but you have not had a student card photo taken or submitted a photo to the student union.

The Pivo mobile student card is no longer in service, and it has been replaced by the Slice mobile student card. In Pivo, you could add a photo to the card yourself, but the Slice mobile student card requires a photo to be stored in SAVOTTA’s membership registry.

If you haven’t ordered a physical student card and therefore your photo is not in the membership registry, you need to submit a photo to SAVOTTA. You can submit a photo for the Slice mobile student card via this form. If you have already paid your membership fee for this semester/year, after adding your photo, proceed to submit a mobile student card activation request. Within a few hours, you will receive a separate email from the Slice service with instructions on how to download the Slice mobile student card.

If your membership expires on September 30, 2024, please pay the membership fee in the online store. After paying the membership fee, follow the instructions above.

Who This Applies To: The membership fee has been paid for the standard duration of your studies, and you have unused membership fees.

Plastic Student Card: You can get a validity sticker for your plastic card by showing it at the SAVOTTA service point.

Slice Mobile Student Card: The Slice mobile student card retrieves your photo from SAVOTTA’s membership registry. Your photo is in the system if you have a physical student card or have received a message about ordering a student card. If your photo is in the system, proceed to submit a mobile student card activation request. If your photo is not in SAVOTTA’s registry, please refer to the instructions under “I Have Only Been Using the Pivo Mobile Student Card.”

Who This Applies To: The membership fee was paid for the 2023-2024 academic year, and the student does not have a valid membership fee for the 2024-2025 academic year.

Membership Fee: You can pay the membership fee at the student union’s service points at Microkatu or in the student union’s online store.

Plastic Student Card: If you pay the membership fee at a service point, you will receive the validity sticker for your plastic card immediately. If you pay the membership fee online, you can pick up the sticker for your plastic card at the service points on the following business day.

Who This Applies To: You are a new student, a transfer student, transitioning from open studies to a degree program, or a continuing student who has not previously been a member of the student union.

Data Transfer Permission: If you have not granted data transfer permission in the Account service, you must separately provide this permission to the student union. See below for data transfer permission.

Membership Fee: You can pay the membership fee at the student union’s service points at Microkatu or in the student union’s online store.

Plastic Student Card (I Have a Card): If you pay the membership fee at the service points, you will receive the validity sticker for your plastic card immediately. If you pay the membership fee in the online store, you can pick up the sticker for your plastic card at the service points on the following business day.

Plastic Student Card (I Do Not Have a Card): A photo is required for the plastic student card. You can have your photo taken at the SAVOTTA office or submit a self-taken photo via this form. You can also upload your photo when paying the membership fee in the online store. Please note that for new students starting in fall 2024, card photo sessions will be organized during the first days of the semester.

Slice Mobile Student Card: The Slice mobile student card retrieves your photo from SAVOTTA’s membership registry. Your photo is in the system if you have a physical student card or have received a message about ordering a student card. If your photo is in the system, submit a mobile student card activation request after paying the membership fee. There is no need to submit a separate activation request for the mobile student card if you pay at the service points.

The Slice mobile student card is a benefit for members of the student union. This card functions as an official student card just like the plastic student card. The Slice mobile student card is user-friendly and provides access to around 3,000 student benefits conveniently categorized by location.

The Slice mobile student card retrieves your photo from SAVOTTA’s membership registry. Your photo will be available in the system if you have a physical student card, have received a message about ordering a student card, or have submitted your photo to the student union via the photo submission form.

Data Transfer Permission

By granting data transfer permission, you allow your information to be transferred from Savonia’s system to the student union’s registry. This permission ensures that the student union can verify that you are an active degree student and eligible for a student card.

How to Grant Permission:

• Permission Link: Follow the instructions provided via the link to grant data transfer permission.
• Confirmation: Once you receive a confirmation email from the school indicating that your information has been transferred to the student union, you can proceed to pay the membership fee.

Payment Instructions:

• Service Points: You can pay the membership fee at SAVOTTA’s service points.
• Online Store: Alternatively, you can pay the membership fee in the student union’s online store.

You can pay the SAVOTTA membership fee through the online store. To make transactions in the online store, you will need your Savonia email and user ID.

Once you have paid the membership fee at a service point or collected the sticker for your plastic card, you will immediately receive a student calendar and a 2-month membership magazine from Savon Sanomat. If you pay the membership fee in the online store or activate your mobile student card remotely, you can pick up these benefits at the campus service point during your next visit to the campus. Additionally, student union members can purchase Finnkino movie tickets (€9.50 each) and affordable coffee cards at the Microkatu campus service points.
