Ensuring that students are heard

Main focus of student union is to make it easier to study and to be a student in Savonia. This means that SAVOTTA represents students and make them heard by influencing on matters concerning educational matters and social welfare.  SAVOTTA also organizes events, tutoring, sports services through the SYKETTÄ Services and provides free time activities and clubs and much more. We ensure that students voice is heard in the decisions concerning students at Savonia UAS and campus cities.

SAVOTTA takes part to the development of the study enviroment, the conditions and contents of teaching. We do it via proposals and statements as well as by participating in discussion and cooperational groups of Savonia. It is important for us that students can study in a safe and healthy learning environment. Our goal is an active, prosperous, social and well-being university community for all. Not only within Savonia but also in the Savonia campus cities Iisalmi, Kuopio and Varkaus.

Student representatives of the student union SAVOTTA engage in various activities to represent and serve the interests of the students. Student representatives work to promote student engagement and participation in student union activities, university governance, and broader community initiatives. At the same time we encourage students to get involved and make their voices heard.
